AMERICAN INN

American Inn sits in a quiet pocket of Hawthorne, 700 yards from Aurora Peak and 0.8 miles from Veterans Memorial Park. Every room opens to a private terrace with mountain views, offering a vantage point over the surrounding landscape. The property's secluded position reduces noise from busy city life while keeping El Capitan Restaurant within 550 yards.

Each of the 10 rooms contains a king-sized bed and laminate flooring, with minimal furniture that maximizes floor space. The bathroom layout separates the sink from the tub and toilet area, allowing two guests to use the room simultaneously. Flat-screen TVs with satellite channels and air conditioning come standard in every unit.

Free parking sits directly in front of each guest room, with enough space for larger vehicles or trailers. The hotel applies an inclusive pet policy with a nominal fee and provides a dish for dogs upon check-in. Guests traveling with bikes or bulky equipment can unload easily thanks to the ground-floor access.

American Inn operates a 24-hour front desk with minimal check-in paperwork, allowing late arrivals to settle in quickly. The property lies 148 km from Mammoth Yosemite Airport, making it a practical stop for travelers heading to or from the Sierra Nevada. Business professionals find reliable amenities such as free WiFi and room service available throughout the stay.

Security measures include CCTV in common areas and outside the property, plus smoke alarms and fire extinguishers on site. Each room offers free toiletries, a hairdryer, a fridge, and a microwave to support extended stays. The hotel maintains non-smoking rooms throughout, with recently maintained bathrooms and clean common areas.
